I Just Can’t Be Swedish

I was watching this cool documentary about Swedish pop music producers.

Did you know that many of the big pop songs of the ‘90s were produced by Swedes? Britney Spears, Backstreet  Boys, NSYNC, Celine Dion, Bryan Adams…
They all worked with Swedish production companies.

The documentary delved into what it is about the Swedish national character that makes them so good at  producing hits for other musicians.

And one of the theories is that
// Swedish culture looks down on bragging //
So it feels very natural for them to work behind the scenes.

Hats off to the Swedes! and bless their music mastery,

…but I LOVE bragging!

// I love it when people I care about, brag about themselves.

// I love it when people brag about others.
(Yes, tell me about your amazing kid, spouse, nephew, dog!)

// I especially love hearing women brag, because women are socialized to downplay their talents, skills, and accomplishments.

// And I personally love bragging about the work I do with my coaching clients 🙂

Today I wanna brag about my work with Vicky B. Here’s what she says about it:

“I came to Emma with a murky idea of a business I wanted to create. After working with her, I have complete clarity regarding how my business is going to look and function, and now all I need is to put in the legwork, (which is the fun and creative part), and watch the miracles unfold!

“Before we started, I was a little worried about whether it would be a waste of time, and whether it’s possible to have the perfect ‘marriage’ with a virtual stranger.

“But Emma provides effortless, non-judgmental, gentle coaching. With her guidance, the ideas unfold like a blossoming flower, and it’s just so fun to watch them appear and transform the mindset from empty to fruitful and exciting.”

“Run, don’t walk to book a session. It’s really miraculous how Emma does it–you don’t know when or where the thoughts come from, but before you know it, you feel happy, fulfilled, creative and inspired. Emma is effortless, real, brilliant and just super cool and positive. If I drank wine, I would want to drink it with her all day, while absorbing genius plans for a fulfilling future.”

Mmmm yummo!!

Here’s the thing: I’ve gotten way more comfortable with bragging, not because I’m so awesome.

It’s because all the coaching I get helps me believe in, and act from, my awesomeness.

If you’re ready to know your worth, get clarity, multiply your great ideas, and watch the miracles unfold…
