Do you remember this phrase from elementary school science class?
“The solution to pollution is dilution.”
A single tablespoon of arsenic in your coffee cup is deadly. A single tablespoon of arsenic in a city’s water supply is fine.
Your inner environment is similar.
If you have a lot of shitty mental patterns (thoughts and feelings) about what a dick you are,
YOU NEED TO DILUTE THEM.
Dilute them with better-quality thoughts and feelings.
What are better-quality thoughts?
Thoughts that are more likely to create outcomes that you like.
Which SPECIFIC better-quality thoughts should you practice thinking?
You get to choose!
Right now while I’m writing this post, for example, I’m practicing thinking:
“I can do this.”
“People want to hear what I have to say.”
“It’s safe for me to get older.”
“I don’t have to do this all at once.”
“It doesn’t have to be perfect to be valuable.”
(I don’t actually know whether environmentalists still think this way, btw. Or how much arsenic you can have in a city’s water supply.
Even though I’m not sure, I’m willing to share this thought with you. Because I practice thinking stuff like,
“It doesn’t have to be perfect to be valuable.”)
It’s one thing to read about it. It’s way more supportive to actually get coached! I can’t wait to work with you–click here to get started.
